MERRY CHRISTMAS

What a beautiful Christmas!! Ryan was just a blast this year, really figured out what this present thing meant!! He goes back & forth between all of them....good job everyone!! And Colby just looks at his & coos!! :) Happy boys, just love them so much. They get to spend the night at my parent's tonite, since Nate & I both have to work tomorrow and our sitter gets to be in Colorado for a family wedding! :) Hope she's havin a ball!! It was really good to get to see almost all of our family over the last few days. I took tons of pictures and will get them posted in a couple of days when I have a day at home. :) I tried to post some new ones last week, but was having uploading issues....so we'll just do a bunch this week!! Hope all of you had a great Christmas and remembered to thank God for our blessings and for His Son! MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

My Cousin...

I just wanted to pay a small tribute to my cousin, Shawn Noonan, who was killed in a car accident on Monday Dec 3, 2007. We will miss her very much, it just won't be the same without her. It's been a pretty tough couple of days. We're very grateful for our families & support systems. This is a picture of last year the day after Thanksgiving, when (L-R) Aunt Kathy, Cousins Chelsea, Shawn, LuAnn, and myself went shopping. We were outside Menards in Norfolk about 4:00 am in this picture....we had a ball. :) We love you Shawn.

Time for new pictures!! : ) I take so many, it's hard to choose which to show off!! Thanksgiving at our house was lots of fun--I made dinner for my boys, Mom, Dad, Nathan, Noah, Rachel, & Aleah. Mom & Rachel brought stuff too, it was delicious!! : ) It was really fun just hangin out,, doin nuthin & relaxing as a family. I really enjoyed it! The kids all played so nicely together. : ) And later in the evening we went over to my Grandma's house to hang out with the rest of the crew. Fun day!!
Now we're getting ready for Christmas, it will be sooo fun this year! It's been a ball shoppin for our babies, seems like everything we see is "Ryan would LOVE that"!! Talk about blowing a budget! : ) Oh well! We've found lots of fun stuff for Colby too, they make such neat things for these babies!!! And daddy likes to play with them too....hee hee hee!! We got our tree & stockings hung up, I just luv decorating for Christmas. Ryan loves all of my snowmen decorations, thinks its just great. : ) It's so fun watching him get excited over everything this year!!
The boys are doin great, growin like weeds & happy as clams. : ) Colby sleeps great at night...still a stinker during the day, but we'll take the full nights! : ) They're starting to interact, Colby will see Ryan & smile, and Ryan loves to talk to his "buddy" as he's been calling him. : ) How fun!

What a beautiful day! My dear husband actually had the day off, and hung up our Christmas lights! We thought since the weather was so decent today, might as well get 'em up before the snow blows! : ) Can't wait to take Ryan outside tonite & show him. : ) He'll luv it! He's all about this fun Christmas stuff, especially snowmen. Wait till I get my stuff out and he sees all mine! He'll be in snowman heaven. Silly boy! His babysitter has her lights up and some decorations outside, and he just thinks it's great. : ) But before we get too worked up, Thanksgiving is only a few days away! Gotta luv turkey day--it's so fun hanging out with our families. ...And the day after!! Go Super Shoppin Seda Girls!! : ) Watch out, here we come!! Can't believe November is so close to being over! At least I've got some of my shopping done, at least I know mostly what I'm buying for certain peoples. : ) It's so much fun to give gifts, isn't it?

Big Boy!!

Well, we had Colby's 2 month checkup on Monday! He weighs 13 lbs 13 oz....exactly the same as his brother did at 9 wks!! Colby is 24 3/4 inches tall...just a 1/4 inch taller than Ryan was! My big healthy boys! : ) No surprise, they both eat all the time. Ryan LOVES his veggies, corn & peas are his favorite. And he loves Kiwi and Grapes the best for fruits! Can't wait to start giving Colby yummy stuff!! I had to laugh, Dr Gebhardt said that as much as he eats it would be a good idea if I wanted to, to give him some rice cereal already! :) He said he's big enough and could learn to eat it from a spoon! So of course I've been trying and he does really well!! It's pretty thinned out at this stage, but he doesn't even push it out with his tongue...just makes a funny face and then starts smackin it down! : ) How funny!! So we were pretty excited to see how big he was, and he did well with his shots. He got 4 of them and then an oral vaccine for rotavirus. He was NOT happy when it happened, but then he's been great! His happy smiling self!
Can't believe Thanksgiving is next week! Time flies! I'm makin dinner for us and my parent's, it will be so fun to have a nice cozy dinner, turkey & all! ...Then we're headin over to my Grandma's to hang out with the whole crew. : ) We love it! Hope everyone has a great turkey day and remembers all the blessings we have!! If anyone reads this and feels compelled, I heard on the radio that the Salvation Army in Norfolk is over 100 turkeys short for what they expect to serve....so I'm gonna go buy a bird or two & drop it off, I'm so grateful to the Lord for providing us with so much, that I think it's important to give back too! Just a gobble thought!! : )

Welcome to Our Page!!

Well I've learned that I can type faster than I can think or write, so I thought it would be fun to keep track of our little family online easier than on paper. And you can share in it too! What fun crazy times. Colby is 2 months old already, hard to believe, and Ryan is 2. We take Colby to his 2 mos check up tomorrow, can't wait to see how much he weighs! Eats all the time! : ) They sure are fun and keep us hoppin. : ) Colby's proving to have his own definate personality already, especially when it comes to sleeping. :) He sleeps great at night, usually about 6 hours then eats then 2-3 more hrs. It's just gettin him there!! Little stinker fights it so bad. I tell him it's a good thing he's so darn cute!! : ) He just grins all the time, knows how to melt mommy & daddy's hearts that's for sure. :P He jabbers as soon as you look at him, and has the kissiest, chunkiest leggies!! We're so darn happy these days! Ryan rocks, he's hilarious. So smart, of course. Is loving his books & alphabet letters right now. Totally into CARS the movie, and anything choo choo train. :) Adores his Uncle Nae Nae and his babysitter Joy. : ) His grandparent's are the highlight of his days! He still has the cutest dimple I've ever seen, and loves to pretend. He "fixes" everything in sight with his tools, and loves to play in his room--especially since he started sleeping in his big boy toddler bed with the Diego sheets & blanket! Such a big boy! He's so happy, and such a good boy. We love him so much!! He does new things everyday!
The Smolek household is a happy one. Nate & I were talking about how our 4th anniversary will be in March, and how much has happened the last few years. We wouldn't change a thing. :) I love that husband of mine more than life. He's the best. : ) We got to spend the day together yesterday at the Nebraska/KS State Football game in Lincoln--How Fun! It was a gorgeous day, and a great game. We had a ball. My cousin Lyndsey watched the boys for us, bless her heart. : ) It was so much fun. It felt good to get out and have a chance to miss our babies! : )
Anyway, I could go on & on...and I'm sure I will. This oughta do it for starters though.
