Whew. 8:45 pm, both kiddos in bed. It's strangely quiet around the Smolek house--something that doesn't happen too often. :) So I thought I'd take the QUIET time to sit and relax, check my email and write a bit! Our house has been full of laughter and smiles (for the most part) again this week. We've sure been enjoying our boys, they are amazing. :) So beautiful and funny!! Colby's saying "Da-Da" now, and has figured out how to make interesting noises with his mouth, something that never fails to make us laugh too. :) He has become an expert at rolling across the room, especially when we're trying to change his diaper!! All the sudden, he's butt up and so cute!! : ) Little jabber box, "talks" all the time. Happy camper, great eater, sleeping pretty good too. Ever since he got his own room, he's slept much better. Too independent for 7 mos. :) But oh so sweet. Puts his hand up on my face when I rock him with his bottle. Opens his mouth for kisses. : ) Little lover!! He scoots on his butt in the bathtub, across the whole tub and back, usually spittin and sputtering all the water he splashes up. Kiddo loves his bath, that's for sure. : ) Kind of like another son of mine....now it's not a bath, it's "Swim, Mom". : ) He's a smart little cookie--speaking of which, he pulled out my oven mitts tonite and told me he was going to bake. Cookies & Pizza. MY KIND OF KID. LOL. ; ) That kid is hilarious. I need a recorder on him at all times, so I could remember all the funny stuff he says in a day. I came in the house from work today, and he greeted me at the door, with a big "Hi Mom!"--and looked so cute, as his hair is all spiked up. : D He told me Joe did his hair, with hairspray! Joe is our babysitter's teenage son, whom I can just see is trying to get ready for school and here is Ryan at his side. : ) So Ryan quite often gets his hair done at Joy's house. :) Silly boy! So cute! Gets the biggest kick out of watching bunnies & birds & squirrels in our backyard. He's growing too fast. Seems like I just had him and he's edging too close to being 3. October will come so soon!! My biggie boy!! He was soooo excited Sunday, b/c he got to go to Children's Church instead of the nursery! Learned about Jonah & the Whale and thought it was sooo funny that the big fish swallowed that man!! And spit him back out!! : ) Oh, the things to come...
Otherwise, not anything too new or exciting on the home front. We're just hangin out, workin & playin, lovin it up. Nate & I were just talking, how we can't believe it's been 2 years since we moved to Columbus; 4 years since we got married; 8 years since we started dating. Thank you ShopKo!! ; ) It's been really good, and we are definately blessed beyond words.

Oh my goodness, where does the time go...here I thought I'd just updated...and it's been weeks!! LOL! Guess we've been busy...just a little! Nothing real new or exciting, except every little thing these boys do just thrills us. :) Colby looks so darn cute with his two little teeth showing every time he smiles...or cries... :D He's been sleeping great, eating like a piggy, and just happy in general. It's wonderful. :D Ryan's always got something up his sleeve, little turkey...he really is hilarious. He can now count to 10--nothing we've been "working" on, but he's just picked it up (Thanks Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. :D ) and thinks it's great! Smart little man! And the stories! He comes up with some pretty funny stuff, told me last week that our neighbor went to Menards to buy a new fan. : ) Put his dad in timeout today for ONE MINUTE cuz daddy was bein naughty when they were playing, lol. Then he said, ok all done timeout, dad! Makes me laugh non-stop. Bought him a Transformer robot at a garage sale today, he's in heaven...along with the CARS rolling suitcase he now has, and has been rolling around the house nonstop. :D I wish I could remember all the funny stuff he does all day long, I could write so many books! I guess the main thing is we're all healthy and happy, doing great and waiting a little impatiently for nice weather. Ryan's been excited to go out and swing and play with holly! We've been bundling him up to do so, but it'll be nice when we can just go out. :D A friend from Lincoln ( Hi Nelly!) is coming down tomorrow to hang out, so we're excited....been too long since we've had a Nelly fix! Ryan can't wait, wants to show her his new robot. :) Anyway, hope everyone's had a great week, it's been just a relaxing weekend so far. We'll keep our fingers crossed it stays that way. Aaagh. Nice to have my hubby home on the weekends again. :D Luv ya hon!
