Boys, boys, boys!!!!

We've had a nice week here at the Smolek household!! Not doing alot of anything, just the normal stuff!! :) Once again, I had a hard time deciding which pics to post, as I've taken hundreds of awesome ones again. :) We'll start here....
Colby loves mashed potatoes....Can't you tell?? :)

Dr Ryan Smolek...not a bad ring to it!! :) Bless his heart. My doctor's kit was my prized possesion as a kid. Can you belive I still have EVERY piece, in the case? My Great Aunt Erm & Uncle Ewald gave it to me for my 5th birthday. It was what I wanted most, and was probably the most played with toy in history. I remember standing in their kitchen, and her asking me what I wanted for my birthday. When they gave it to me, and from then forward, it was my favorite birthday gift ever. : )

Not a cuter cowboy in town!! He just loves those boots!! And Daddy's old hat to play with, what could be better? Wore the boots to church this morning (with jeans & a nice shirt, thank you...) and it just evolved throughout the day from there. : ) Cute boy!!!

\
What could make a biggie boy happier than lunch!?!?! :) Such a sweet happy baby, and with his 6 teeth, can eat about anything!! And believe you me, he does!! Has discovered pizza, and was thrilled!! Ate a good 1/2 piece last night!! Yummy! Just like big brother!!

We love our wagon that Grandpa Jack & Grandma Angie got us!! Don't we look ADORABLE ridiing in it? We sit & giggle at each other! And we do really well for the most part...just don't lean over or I might pull your hair or grab your foot....lol. But they do have fun. : ) Dairy Queen is a nice walk away.....

Oh did you ever see a sweeter little boy as this? He's such a cuddler, and so darn cute. Loves to cuddle with a blanket & pillow and watch "noons" (cartoons) in the mornings. :) What a punkin.

And little mister!! Just thinkin that he can WALK along the furniture now!! Stinker!! That crawling/pulling up is just not enough, Momma!! Gotta try & keep up with brother!! Discovered he could "cruise" the other day when we were downstairs playing by the coffee table....and took it upon himself to try it on the couches, tv, end stand.....yup!! Big boy!! :) So cute!!!

Everyone's gotta have their first BK crown!??!!? Don't I look precious?

Bath time around here....now an adventure. :) They've decided they don't want to take baths without each other!! :) It's quite cute to watch....and alot of work to keep a handle on at once...lol. Very cute, and we think fun too. : ) They splash & play, and would stay in there for days if we'd let them!!
Now this was sweet. Ryan wanted to put a jacket on Snoopy the other morning when we left the house, cuz it was raining and "Noopy not get wet too, Mom"...so how is that for nice!! :) Bless his heart!! So we took care of 'Noopy too. :)
So funny. Yah, just try and get our picture together on the couch in our matching pj's. :) P.S. Daddy was there to catch Colby. :)

So excited about his new sprinkler, that we didn't even get in the house to get his swim trunks on!! Oh well, clothes dry. ; ) He had a BALL. :)

Momma & I at Kyncl's wedding. We really had a good time. We rode with Mom & Dad, and just enjoyed the evening. Grandpa & Grandma Smolek got to play with the boys, and I think they had more fun than anyone!! :)

Congrats Mr & Mrs Adam Kyncl!! What a fun day!!

Hubby!! :) It was nice to sit & talk & dance with my hubby. What a guy. :) We've been married over 4 yrs too now, ya know. ;)

Momma & Dad. The BEST!! And married 29+ yrs!! :) Yeah!

Jerk! No, I love him--that's just how I tease my brudder. Love him dearly!! Most handsome groomsman there!!

And I'm sure I could have put up hundreds of pictures and shown off my family more and more, but I think this shall suffice for tonite. It's time to be lazy now, lol. Babies are sleepin and Momma's TIRED. :) Daddy has the whole week off this week, lookin forward to havin him around on my days off too!! :) No big plans as of now, for the 4th. Probably catch the fireworks here in town, if the kiddos can stay awake for them! Otherwise maybe just make some of our own..... ;) Hee hee!! Have a good holiday, everyone!! Peace!!

This is a neat poem about how much kids really see in a marriage & a home. Makes ya think.

The Love They See
-By Bob Perks

You can’t pretend to love.
You can’t even fake a smile.
The things you think they don’t notice,
they have been watching all the while.

Be aware that they are seeingeverything you do.
If you want your children to know love,
then it’s really up to you.

For love isn’t just a play time.
Love isn’t a TV show.
If you love them unconditionally,
then love will be what they know.

It’s not what you want them to remember,
it’s what they will choose to see.
If you loved one another always,
then loving is what they will be.

Well, I didn't even know where to start with new pictures!! I've taken hundreds again this month. We're backing up all our pics again, cuz we've literally got thousands on this old computer. :) We've done some fun things lately. Went to Grand Island on Nate's birthday 6/7 and hung out with his parents. Stolley Park had "Family Fun Day" and had all sorts of stuff for the kids to check out; Ambulances, Fire Trucks, a Helicopter, Army Trucks....all sorts of stuff! You can only imagine how much fun Ryan had. :) But I think the choo-choo ride TOPPED it all. He didn't want to go at first, (nap time....need I say more?) but boy once we got on! He was soooo excited & happy!! He's treasuring his beloved train ride ticket. :) Then he got to see a REAL "Toppy-topter" (helicopter) and check it all out with Grandpa Jack. It was a fun day. Colby enjoyed the choo choo ride, then snoozed in the stroller. Hey, sounds good to me! :)

This baby loves the park almost as much as his brother does!

CHOO-CHOO!!! :)
My handsome pants boy!

SO proud of his new McQueen from Uncle NaeNae!!

The beloved train ticket. Look at that cute proud face!! :) And red!! It was hot outside!!

Ridin the train

Choo-Choo!! He watched it go around, again & again....
Eatin cookies with PaPaw. : )

"Helpin" mommy make cookies! Chocolate Chip!!

Uncle NaeNae & Handsome Pants!

He adores his uncle. :) Just watches him!!

THE END. :)
So cute,baby.

COLBY'S 9 MONTH CHECKUP!!!
Well as you can see, my baby is growing wonderfully!! What a chunker, and so tall!! :) 24 lbs, even bigger than Ryan was at this age! Ha! Lovely little boy.

He really likes Dr Anderson, and so does Mommy!! She is WONDERFUL and takes such good care of my baby! She takes her time and listens, and is just a wonderful pediatrician!!

Colby even tried several times to share his choo-choo with Dr Anderson! He smiled big & showed her all his cute teeth!!

He just couldn't figure out why he had this sticky yellow thing on his toe! They poked his toe to check his hemoglobin, which was great at 12.7 and he just looked at the nurse, like why're you squeezin my toe, lady!?!?! :) Not a peep though!

He says, this table paper sure sounds fun & crinkly, butdoesn't taste very good, Mom!

It was a great checkup with a great report! She said he's perfect and we're doing everything right! She's very impressed with his hand-eye coordination and how accurate he reaches & picks things up. He's crawling everywhere and pulling himself to standing on anything he can grab!! His ears look perfect, AMEN! She said to come back at 12 mos if all's well until then!

He's Self-Propelled!!!

AND COLBY CAN CRAWL!!! : )
He finally figured it out for real, no more army crawling or scootin on his tushie! The boy is movin & groovin all over the house!! So very cute, and Ryan thinks it's hilarious!! It's really fun to watch him, I love watching babies crawl. Adorable! And he's so proud!! Last week he discovered he could sit up from laying down, and he clapped & clapped!! Yay!! So now he's REALLY happy with himself! Good Boy!! He's eatin all kinds of real food now, loves cheese. : ) When he gets a bite of something he likes, he claps everytime. : ) Happy boy!! So now he's got 6 teeth & crawls. Whew, what a month! He's picking things up with his little index finger & thumb, how cute is that! Gets so excited, he just squeals! So hard to believe my baby boy will be 9 mos old this weekend. Time sure flies. :)
Ryan's doin great, growing so big and talking in paragraphs. He has been mowing the grass, fixing the couch (!?! and everything else), folding clothes, reading books, and about anything else he thinks looks fun! Such a big boy. Got to spend the night at BooBoo & PaPaw's house this weekend, took his lawn mower with to help PaPaw!! That boy has put THOUSANDS of miles on his $5.00 mower from K-Mart. It's great. He got to "drive" my dad's boat, would sit in there for hours. And his truck too! Helped mom get groceries, such a helper!! He's so smart, the things he comes up with & remembers is awesome. Very fun kiddo. Loves Tootsie Rolls. : )
We're all doin good. Nate's birthday is on Saturday, so we're deciding what we want to do. We may go to Grand Island, we'll see! Other than takin care of those sweet babies, we've just been hanging out. Playing outside alot. We did some painting in the house, still have some more to do...and maybe redo. I painted a "chalkboard" on a wall downstairs, Ryan LOVES that! Very cool. The rest of the basement will be done someday! It's fun! What a difference a coat of paint can make! Our house is no longer just white. : ) Put up some new ceiling fans & light fixtures, just a small facelift! Enjoy the zillion pictures!!
