So here we have it! Ryan's 3-year checkup! What a kid, he did awesome. :) He has not been to the doctor since his 2-year checkup, so I was wondering what he'd think. We have been playing with our doctor's kit, so he "knew" what to expect! He was great, even had to look in Dr Anderson's ears & throat too, to make sure she was ok too! :) She's so nice, she just laughed and let him!! Silly boy, you can tell he RUNS alot. He actually lost a pound from last year!! ha!! Guess we can let him & Colby both drink the Vitamin D milk!! But he grew 3 inches and is 39 inches tall--I noticed a couple of weeks ago that all his jeans were suddenly too short!! And the kid still eats like it's goin out of style, so he must be good! She said he's absolutely perfectly healthy & she has not one concern! Yay!! His tubes are both out of the ear drum and about ready to fall out, she said. So let's pray that we get through this winter ear-infection free and we should be good to go!! :) He was so good at the doctor's office, I took him & bought him a new Hot Wheels! "A blue one, Mom". You betcha big guy. And of course I just happened to have my camera in my purse. : )
Standin on the scale, thought that was pretty cool :)
Lol. What a cute little boy. Such a sweetheart!

Look Mommy, I'm so tall!! 39 inches tall!!

He loves the chalkboards in the rooms--and so do I! What a neat idea to keep them occupied while waiting, even a short wait!! :)

What kid doesn't love to "spin the stool" at the doctor's office?!?!? He had me sit on it and "be the doctor, Mom". :)

ALMOST tall enough!!

Drawing away!

Such serious business, listening to that stuff!

He whispered "I'm breathing, Mom". LOL. Good deal Ryan!

He told her there were potatoes in there! She found a cow!! LOL.

He said he wanted to sit up there, rather than on Mom's lap! So independent, I tell you.

Good news, Dr Anderson! Clean bill of health for you too!!

He said all he saw were beans!! Haha!! :) What a goofy kid!

Checkin the tummy, he was so serious. Very cooperative.

Dr Anderson & Ryan!! She's such an awesome doctor, and such a nice lady!

Hilarious Boy!!

Oh my goodness. Having little boys is so much fun. Ryan picked out his first official Halloween costume, all by himself! He's been watching Transformers with his Daddy, and told me the other day he wanted to be "Optimus Prime" and I wondered if he would really wear it or not. Well I found one at Target ($30!! NO WAY!!) and then at Walmart ($12.99--MUCH better!!) and he was so excited when we got home, he wore it for an hour until I MADE him put on his PJs! Ha! He'll be dreamin of robots tonite! ha ha!! It was ADORABLE--we put it on, and he spent 15 minutes in front of the mirror, giggling and posing! And Colby was looking at him like, What the heck!??!?!!? :) He even likes wearing the mask, shocked me!! :) So funny, so much fun. Can't wait to take him out trick-or-treatin!! He's excited now, and can't wait to show everyone!! :) So of course I couldn't resist, and had to take some pictures!! :) Enjoy!!

Such a tough guy!!!

Can't see it, but he sure is grinnin!!!

Up Close & Personal with Optimus Prime!!

Well here we have it. Our little Ryan is actually 3 years old. : ) Man, how time flies. Seems like I was just pregnant with him, and had this little baby to hold, and this little guy learning to roll over and crawl and walk. All of a sudden he talks in paragraphs, knows letters, numbers, colors, and what brand of tractor is which!!! And he's 3!! Wow!! We took the kids to the zoo in Omaha on his birthday, and we just had an absolute ball. My parents went with, and we met some friends, Chris & Holly, there. It was such a gorgeous day and the kids did awesome. We enjoyed it so much. It was so much fun to watch the kids take it all in and just be so excited about all of it! We came home that evening and my brother and rachel & noah came down and hung out and had cake & ice cream, and we let Ryan open his presents. He cashed in, as usual. : ) Of course, Uncle NaeNae always gives the best presents--he got him a Black & Decker Yard Edger! Oh boy!! (A pretend one, of course) Ryan has been edging all day--as a matter of fact, we've already changed batteries. : ) We gave him a John Deere Tractor & Lunchbox, BooBoo & PaPaw gave him a big wooden Noah's Ark playset, Grandpa & Grandma Smolek gave him a Handy Manny radio to "fix" (along with a Cars t-shirt, a book, and stickers!) and he got some monies, etc. : ) Happy little birthday boy. He said all day "I'm 3 now!!!" : ) And then yesterday & today when he woke up, he said "My birthday all done now" but knew he could still play with all those new things!! :) And Colby has had just as much fun, I think! :) Playin all over and lovin having the company! What fun!! Here's a BUNCH of pics--hey, out of the 300 we took--40 isnt' bad. : )
The best loved cake in history. :) Talk about an excited kid!
Colby loved the fishies at the zoo--squealin and giggling!!
Oh so cute in his hoodie!

Ryan even got to ride a Choo-Choo on his Birthday! Talk about the highlight of the day!!
Walkin along the tracks, checkin it all out!

AND I'M DONE!! So tired after a great day!!! : )
That about sums up the birthday. It was really great. : )
Of course the sweet boy stories are endless, I need to jot them down more often so I can remember them. Colby has decided he loves sleep--when he's tired, he goes over to his bedroom door and says "Ni-Ni" and wants to go up there. : ) He would live on bananas if I let him. He's the brute of the group, constantly doin somethin ornery!! :) Ryan's new thing is comin up and sayin "So, Mom..." He's decided that library books are great, I got him 2 new ones yesterday. :) It's so much fun, I knew it'd be awesome, but this.....is amazing. :)
