So it's 9:00pm already, & I just don't have the motivation to do more than snuggle up with my book. :) The pictures will have to wait another day. : ) But! A couple of funny stories.
My babysitter texted me today, said she was laughing at Colby. He doesn't take discipline too seriously, I guess--She put him in time out for hitting (!!) and guess what--he just went to sleep!! ha!! ornery boy! :) He's such a pistol. Just love him to pieces. Has found his gag reflex & has experimented with his toothbrush, spoons, his fingers, toys--and it all works! he gags every time!! And LAUGHS about it!! Ooh! Stinker!! :) He also knows when he's in trouble, cuz he covers up his eyes & peeks out. :) Or puts his hands over his bottom! Very smart baby, and SOOO cute too!! :)
Ryan's doin good with his potty training, some days are better than others! Our babysitter said yesterday & today he went potty all day by himself, without her even asking! Yay!! I see a light!! :) Those new undies are gettin closer & closer! :) Good job Buster!! He's gettin there! All in his timing, you know. :) So proud of my boy. He's such a love bug. Has decided he has to come upstairs every night while one of us rocks Colby, so he can give him a hug & kiss & say "Goodnight, Colby Pants!!!" Aw, so sweet. :) And Colby waits for it! He knows!! :) My Ryan. Can't believe he's 3 1/2 already. October and 4 will be here sooner than we know.

My gosh, seems like forever since I've updated!! It's just been so busy!! Between us being here & there, our computer takin a "break" literally, and workin, bein gone, & busy at home-I just haven't gotten around to this!!
The month has been busy. I've picked up some extra days at work, which is just fine! I also went to Kansas City for a weekend with Mom & some aunts & a cousin for the Women of Faith conference--It was absolutely wonderful!! Then this weekend Nate & I took an extra day & spent a few days in Omaha to celebrate our 5 YEAR WEDDING ANNIVERSARY already!! It was so much fun to just relax, reconnect, and hang out. The boys didn't miss us at all--but we missed them!! : ) They got to stay with my parents--nuff said!! : ) Crazy stuff! 5 years, 2 moves, 2 kids, buying a house, new jobs, and one cute dog later!! whew!! It's been a blast, and a blessing. I love my dear husband so much!!! It's a privelage to go through life with him, wether life is pretty or not. :) He's the best!! And we have the best boys ever!! : )
So!! Between all that, I promise I will get some pictures up soon, now that our 'puter is back up and runnin'!! (Thanks hon!!) : ) I have a couple days off later this week, so that'll be my project!!

Somehow I forgot to write about what really made my heart melt this week! When I took the boys to the doctor last week, not feeling well, Colby was pretty fussy. I was sitting in there with him on my lap and Ryan comes over and says "It's otay, Colby. I scratch your back" and started giving him a back rub!! Then on the way home when he got fussy cuz he was tired, Ryan reaches over and holds his hand. Oh!! They sat that way for awhile, so darn sweet. Luckily my mom was with & could snap the picture. Isn't it beautiful!?!? It's just been so amazing lately to watch how they've connected even more, and gotten protective & affectionate toward each other. They've been hugging alot, and playing together so well. If there was anything that can touch a mommy's heart like that, it's seeing them love each other. It's a beautiful thing!

So today was Colby's 18 month checkup!! He did really well, was just mad when I put the cute little gown on him, lol. Once I took it off & he could run around in his diaper-much better!! He did well--weighs in at 30 lbs, 2 oz and is 33.75 in tall!! Big boy! :) Happy, healthy baby. Ears are clear (Amen!!!), and all checks out well. Only one immunization today, and we're done!! Shouldn't need any now till Kindergarten! Who-hoo!! :) And this fall we can do the FluMist instead of the shot, and boy that went well with Ryan last year so I'm plannin that for both of them now!! Caught a few pics while we were waitin, I was holdin him when doctor was in, so didn't get any this time. :) I had taken both boys in last week for a cough that was nagging on for 5 days & not getting any better--Dr had given them some good Rx cough syrup, and so this was a good recheck of that & to make sure the ears stayed clear, and they did!! Coughs are on the mend, last night was the first nite in over a week that we all slept & didn't hear the boys coughing at all. Amen, poor babies. That was rough!

Otherwise, a few pics of the boys playing & having fun!! Wanted to get some posted before I got busy later this week. I'm going with Mom & a bunch of my aunts/cousins to the Women of Faith conference in KS City, we're leavin Friday am real early. I'm really looking forward to it, and I know my guys are lookin forward to some "guy time"--I've already been hearing talk of video games, movies, popcorn, pizza,...and probably some root beer!! : ) I'm a lucky girl, to have a husband that takes such an active role in our boys lives. Gotta luv him--I sure do. : )

Then next weekend, Nate & I celebrate our 5 Year Anniversary!! Wow! Can't believe it's been that long already! We're gonna celebrate by spending some quality time together--spending a long weekend in Omaha. We got tickets to see Bill Cosby, and we'll probably just take in a movie, do some shopping, sleep in!!! :) The boys get to hang out with BooBoo & PaPaw--they won't miss us at all!! That's ok! : ) So I'll have to take & post some fun pics after that weekend, too.
