Weekend, ahoy!!

i'm really looking forward to this weekend. A friend of nate's is getting married this weekend, and we get to go away all by ourselves! : ) we're excited! nate's in the wedding, so we'll leave tomorrow afternoon and be gone till sunday. my parents rock, and they are keepin the kiddos. we'll miss them lots, but it'll sure feel good to just....go. sit in the hot tub, take a swim, SLEEP...usual getaway stuff. : ) the last 4 weddings i've gone to, i was pregnant, so this will be a nice change of pace, lol...maybe i'll actually have a champagne! : ) i did get a new dress too! fun stuff!
so glad colby's over the influenza junk, it was a looooong week. now we're just teething....the first one is through! yay! so cute! and the second is on it's way, i believe. we're planning on getting his 6 mo pics taken soon--can't believe he's that big already. : ) sweetie pie! looking forward in a couple weeks to see how much he weighs now that he's got his appetite back!
ryan's a card. he loves to come home from joy's and tell me about his day. usually he's had "3-minute nap", "pizza (everyday...)", played with michael, saw joe & bill...and so much other stuff. pretty funny kid. new thing is "stop it!" especially if i kiss him too many times at once. : ) "Pop it, mom!" : ) or if colby fusses too long...."Pop it, bolby!" : ) Poor kid, living in columbus he gets excited about going to walmart. did our weekly grocery run last night, we pull in the parking lot and he says "walmart! oh boy!" and claps. yikes..i've created a monster. : )
otherwise, life in the smolek house is good. : ) a little sleep-deprived, but good. heck, we did it before....we'll sleep eventually!?!??! : )
